Senior Business Development Manager

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team based in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a vital role in executing key strategic initiatives and support the growth of a high profile group, through developing client relationships, new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Reporting into a highly regarded Head of Business Development and becoming a senior member of the team, you will provide the partners and senior lawyers with professional and best-practice advice on marketing and new business generation, with a particular focus on Corporate, M&A & Project Finance deals.

Critical to your success will be your ability to work collaboratively with key partners to maximise opportunities and complete each project under tight time constraints.  Further, you will need to think holistically and commercially about how the firm can take a dynamic and innovative approach to pursuits and client relationship management, whilst assisting with the creation of internal and external content, to ensure that marketing and thought leadership profile campaigns continue to be of the highest standard.

To be considered, you will be tertiary qualified and have proven experience gained in a BD or marketing position within a professional services environment – ideally law. You will have outstanding writing skills combined with the ability to work with limited direction and instruction, an eye for detail, solid proof-reading skills and the ability to confidently manage the expectations of stakeholders across the region.  Further, you will present with a strong strategic and commercial mindset and enjoy working in a firm that has a fluid and entrepreneurial culture.
