Dynamic and highly regarded boutique specialist firm is seeking a driven Media Relations / PR professional to join their collaborative, high-performing team.
A key role with a huge amount of scope that will support the Senior Account Manager / Executive Director in providing communication and PR services to key clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Media relations – develop media releases, pitches and materials, including research, writing, editing, collating and distributing though relevant social media channels
- Monitor all relevant media and social media through “Meltwater” subscription service, ensuring media coverage is provided in the best quality and as quickly as possible
- Client account management – understand and implement client strategy
- Maintaining quality professional relationships with target media e.g. trade journalists and editors; influencers and other relevant targets
- Maintain social media presence on Twitter and LinkedIn primarily, as appropriate
- Event management
- Support new business opportunities
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communication, Marketing or similar
- Highly-developed written communication skills
- Knowledge of the PR/Communication industry and the Australian corporate and/ or financial services sector, Australian politics, regulation, society and media
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Competence with juggling workload and a strong customer service focus
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do approach
