Leading not-for-profit organisation is seeking an Internal Communications Officer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, this is a newly created position with a huge amount of scope that will provide a high standard of internal communications and change management support to the broader team. You will be responsible for devising, creating, and implementing internal communications across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:    

  • Identify and leverage appropriate channels for communication depending on the subject, context and intended audience
  • Write clear and effective employee communications on a broad range of topics that foster a shared purpose in the workplace
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business including regional and corporate managers within the broader division
  • Identify, plan, and create engaging content for key communication forums, including monthly Town Hall and a broad range of events, and contributing to webinars, intranet, and newsletters etc
  • Partner across functions to identify and create engaging internal and external communications materials in support of an overarching strategy
  • Implement tactics that build the profiles of the leadership team and increase employee engagement
  • Assist with the internal execution of the crisis communications plan when required
  • Identify and leverage appropriate channels for change management communications depending on the subject, context and intended audience
  • Identify, plan, and create engaging content in conjunction with the Business Transformation Team
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business including regional and corporate managers 

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media, Marketing or relevant
  • Proven experience working in an in-house environment within a complex and highly regulated industry
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with proven experience writing, editing and developing presentations
  • Demonstrated understanding and recent experience of change management communications
  • Creative flair, including the ability to develop great visual materials and digital experiences to support communications
  • A background in technology such as intranet, electronic communication, and social media to create exciting innovative communication experiences
  • The ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively, but also adapt and respond to emerging issues, short deadlines and other demands or challenges
  • Hands-on experience in updating SharePoint/Intranet and other digital/social media platforms including content management via SharePoint or social tools
  • Demonstrated digital content creation skills, you have an understanding of web based design technologies

You are a passionate internal communications professional with proven experience working in a similar internal communications role. Previous experience working for a not-for-profit or within health/aged care will be highly regarded.
