Our client, who is a leader in world class research, education, and exceptional patient care, is looking to appoint a Director Corporate Communications.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Corporate Communications leader to exercise their craft and further optimise this broad-based, and admired function.
This leadership position will play an instrumental role, from strategy development through to implementation with a focus on external and internal communications, government and stakeholder relations, issues and crisis management, brand, and community engagement.
As a key advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive and Board, you will arrive with demonstrable experience in complex and diverse stakeholder environments, and you’re skilled in the leadership of public-facing communications.
Whilst you relish in big picture, strategic thinking you equally enjoy moving to operational mode and deep diving into the detail. You have an innate radar for risk but equally you are storyteller at heart.
You are a motivational leader who can inspire, develop, direct and support a small team of communications professionals, and you are a strategic yet practical in your approach.
You are known for the ability to connect at all levels of an organisation and you understand the value of building and maintaining trusted and influential relationships spanning industry and stakeholder groups. Additionally, it will be your ability to be flexible, nimble, collaborative, open minded and resilient, that will set you up for success in this role.
Tertiary qualified in communications, marketing, or public relations, together with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior communications / corporate affairs, is essential. Further, experience and an understanding of the health sector will be looked upon favourably, as will experience engaging closely with Government.
