A RMIT and Deloitte Access Economic report gives insight into how digital marketing and data analytics are having on available jobs in the marketing professional sector.
Nadia Cameron writes in CMO, ” Australia’s marketing workforce is expected to grow by more than 11 per cent, or 30,000 jobs in the next five years thanks to increased integration of marketing with other business functions and the growth of digital marketing.”
Even though this growth of Digital Marketing and Data Analytics has become a primary factor in the marketing jobs story, marketeers still need to present with a creative skill set because the human element that drives creativity cannot be substituted by technology. It’s pleasing to read that the role of the ‘marketeer’ does in fact have a future albeit one of multiple guises beyond tomorrow.
